Management Assistant (OA)

Some of the duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access, along with other software programs. Utilizes basic software and printing functions. Types a variety of materials, in rough draft or final form. Prepares documents for publication such as policy statements, forms, graphs, reports and staff meeting minutes or comparable items. Integrates several types of software to generate specific working documents and forms such as spreadsheet, database, word processing, desktop publishing, graphics and other similar products. Selects appropriate system, application and format. Receives, schedules refers and contacts members of staff, agency and persons outside the agency. Provides general clerical public contact support services, answering phones, referring visitors, or providing information about the office, its functions and standard operating procedures. Monitors and controls Congressional correspondence, and records. Serves as the organizations liaison to the Human Resources Office. Monitors, coordinates and provides information to facilitate personnel management activities of the work unit. Performs administrative duties in support of all sections of Fiscal Service providing clerical, assistant or technician level support. Work Schedule:

Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-07 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-06. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note:

Specialized
Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-06 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
performing administrative tasks, preparing reports, using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access along with other software programs, generating reports, spreadsheet, database word processing, desktop publishing graphics and other similar products. The work is sedentary. Typically the employee sits to do the work. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
