For the GS-2150-12:
You must have one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience in maintaining, retailing, purchasing, or procurement of automotive, rail, air, bus, or other transportation equipment or services, or in the operation of a commercial transportation facility or terminal. This experience must have demonstrated knowledge of fleet operations; familiarity with Federal, State, and municipal regulations governing the use of transportation vehicles; and the maintenance of inventories and cost computations. Examples of specialized experience are:
Assisted in coordinating, planning, and evaluating a vehicle fleet and equipment management program on a long-term basis, to ensure the fleet program is effective and efficient; Communicated with senior fleet manager or other senior unit management officials regarding efficiency of a fleet and equipment management program; Gathered data to track a fleet and equipment management program and prepared written communication on ways to improve the program; Assisted in the coordination and facilitation of a fleet and equipment management program and assisted with tracking budget/expenditures. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENT:
If you are a current federal employee in the General Schedule (GS) pay plan and applying for a promotion opportunity, you must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirements of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled. This requirement must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
