Ability to do the work of a(n) Heavy Mobile Equipment Repair Inspector without more than normal supervision. Ability to Inspect - To meet the screen out element, applicants should document experience or show the ability to do the following:
conducting inspections on equipment/vehicles; utilizing test equipment to determined necessary repairs; and maintaining/repairing heavy mobile equipment or light wheeled vehicles by removing, cleaning, or replacing various components or systems.- Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Most of the work is done inside where it is drafty and noisy, and fumes from vehicles are usually present. Occasionally works outside, sometimes in bad weather. Dirt, dust, and grease are frequently present. Vehicle fluids, such as battery acid and hydraulic fluids, could cause burns or irritate the skin. There is frequent exposure to the possibility of cuts, bruises, shocks, burns, and strains.
